Jakarta Satpol PP Monitors The Hunt of Jagat Coin

Jakarta Satpol PP supervises the viral Jagat Coin game. The game involves Jagat application that allows users to search virtual coins in the real world then exchange it with money.

In fact, the public facilities and public order are impacted by the activity. It is because the application users are looking for coin in public areas including sidewalks, parks, and malls.

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Satriadi Gunawan said this viral game has attracted children to adults. For anticipation, his side also cooperates with Jakarta City Park and Forestry Agency to guard the public facilities from potential damage.

"We supervise this activity especially at public facilities such as park," he said, Monday (1/13).

Moreover, his side also deploys Satpol PP personnel to conduct humanist approach. Personnel will remind to players not to damage the public facilities.

Satpol PP personnel will also cooperate with public facilities management and malls' security officer for the activity.

"We might ban the activity if there is a potential damage on public facilities. But we can not control the app on their phone," he added.

Related with the violation potential, Jakarta Satpol PP will conduct coaching and collecting data for players damaging the public facilities. But formal sanction is not yet applied.

"Now we're focusing on how to prevent any potential damage while discussing the sanction internally," he continued.

He hopes the residents may still enjoy the game without damaging the public facilities.
